Red
Carnations |
Light red carnations,
are often used to convey admiration, whereas the dark
red version expresses deeper sentiments of love and
affection. Red carnations mean "My
Heart Aches For You," "I hold you in esteem" and "I
respect and admire you." In the early part of the 20th
century, carnations became the official flower of Mother's
Day in addition to significance in many other cultures
worldwide. It is customary to wear red carnations
on Mother's Day if your mother is living. |
