DAISIES

Description
: The daisy, in English history, was referred to as Day’s Eye—a reference to how the flower opened and closed with the sun. Primitive medical men believed that the daisy was a cure for eye troubles. Daisies have long been associated with spring and convey innocence, purity, beauty, and cheerfulness. The flowers generally have white petals and yellow centers. They can also be pink or rose. Gerberas, the most popular of daisies, have large flowering heads.

Daisies Flower Meanings:
Red daisies - joy and beauty, love and happiness.
White daisies - innocence, truth, heraldry.
Yellow daisies - "I will try hard to earn your love".
Pink daisies - grace, elegance, sweetness, poetic romance, gratitude, appreciation.
Orange or peach daisies - "You are the sunshine of my life."

Arranging and Caring for Gerberas:
• Gently remove the protective cup from each blossom. The petals will gradually unfold to their full state. Fill the vase with approximately 5 to 6 inches of water depending on its height.
• The fuzzy stems of these flowers decompose quickly in deep water. Use clean water and replenish the flower food every 1-2 days.
• You can prevent gerberas from bending at the neck by inserting floral wire in the stem.
